INSPIRATION
Sleep is the most important to-do on a daily basis. We spend one-third of our lives sleeping and your health depends on a quality experience. Our CLEAN DESIGN HOME brand has created a media campaign based on #sleepwell and #sleepcool as the foundation of restful sleep.
CLEAN DESIGN HOME is founded and curated by Robin Wilson, a nationally recognized expert in hypoallergenic and eco-friendly design. For more than two decades, she has advocated for consumers and her line of curated products including pillows, bedding basics, comforters and blankets are highly ranked. In fact, ROBIN WILSON HOME sheets are ranked #2 by COSMOPOLITAN Magazine (Jan 2021).
YOUR SLEEP SPACE
There are three areas to improve for a positive sleep experience
- CLEAN: minimize allergens, wash linens weekly, Rule of 3's for pillows
- DESIGN: lighting, tight window shades, noise cancellation, calm colors
- HOME: basics like a supportive mattress, layered bedding, air purifier, temperature, pajamas
Minimizing allergic triggers can improve your sleep by lowering congestion which can lead to snoring or wheezing and sneezing. Make sure that your circadian rhythms are uninterrupted by using light-blocking window shades. Should you decide to use an air purifier or humidifier, make sure to clean the devices/filters on a regular basis.
OUR PILLOWS
There are three types of sleepers - back, side, stomach - and most of us are combination sleepers. Some tips for your sleep type will help your pillow selection. One unique product we offer is a BIG BOX of pillows so that you can change your pillows all at one time.
- BACK: medium support
- SIDE: supportive
- STOMACH: minimal support; soft and flatter
WHAT IS THE RULE OF 3's?
Developed by Robin Wilson, the Rule of 3's is a protocol for CLEAN that guides you regarding your pillow health. Most people keep their pillows an average of six years - and that can make your pillow an allergen haven with pollen, dust, etc. Instead, you should keep your #healthysleep space by:
- Wash your zippered pillow protector every 3 weeks ; wash linens weekly
- Wash down alternative pillow every 3 months; add tennis balls in dryer cycle to prevent lumps
- Replace pillow every 3 years
A LAYERED BED
Think about the mattress as a long-term investment and the way to protect that investment is with multiple layers, plus you will sleep easier with less allergen-related triggers gathering in your mattress. The best way to layer your bed is with the following selections: a protective encasement for mattress, quality sheets and then warmth from lightweight quilting to comforters to weighted blankets.
